Tank Cooler

The Ultimate Tool for Fast Refrigerant Recovery

The essential HVAC tool for faster refrigerant recovery, even on the hottest days: an insulated bag with reusable freezer blocks that cools down your recovery tank. Stop wasting time with high pressure cut offs and finish jobs quicker by recovering faster.

Why cooling the tank works

Your recovery machine pumps against tank pressure, and tank pressure is set by tank temperature. Ice a 100 °F tank down and the pressure falls with it: at 50 °F along the way, R-410A has already dropped from 319 to 143 psig. Incoming hot refrigerant warms the tank during recovery, and the freezer blocks keep absorbing that heat as it comes in — the tank starts colder, stays colder longer, and your head pressure stays down. Through extensive laboratory and field testing, our tank cooler has been able to save 25 – 50% of the time required to recover on both hot and moderate days.
