Terms of Use

By accessing or using the OTS R&D Portal ("the Portal") at portal.ots-rd.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.

1. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Portal for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Portal, other accounts, or connected systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Portal or its tools
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Portal beyond normal use
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to the Portal's tools or data
• Interfere with the Portal's operation or impose unreasonable load on our infrastructure

3. Engineering Tools & Calculations

The Portal provides engineering calculation tools (property calculators, cycle solvers, psychrometric charts, unit converters, etc.) for informational and educational purposes.

These tools are not a substitute for professional engineering judgment. While we strive for accuracy and cross-validate against published references (ASHRAE, IAPWS, NIST), you are responsible for verifying results before using them in any design, specification, or safety-critical application. OTS R&D is not liable for errors in calculations or for decisions made based on the Portal's output.

4. Software Licenses

Software available for download (SAE LCCP, CoilDesigner® add-ins, etc.) is licensed separately. License terms, trial periods, and restrictions are specified per-program. Unauthorized distribution of licensed software or license keys is prohibited.

5. Intellectual Property

The Portal, its tools, and all associated content are the intellectual property of OTS R&D, Inc. or its licensors. Third-party attributions are listed on our Attributions page.

You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Portal's tools, code, or content without written permission from OTS R&D.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PORTAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PORTAL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OTS R&D SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PORTAL, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
